Volunteer

Life's most persistent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Volunteers cook and serve breakfast every morning;  bag and deliver groceries to homebound seniors;  stock our food pantry; pick up food and produce donations;  teach wellness classes; prepare community lunches and dinners;  make Christmas merry in Santa’s Workshop; staff offsite programs like the Mobile Food Pantry;  provide administrative support; staff our Thanksgiving meal pantry; help us maintain our building and yard; provide support at numerous special events throughout the year like the MLK Day Food Drive and the Newport Marathon;  and more.

If you, your place of worship, your business, school, or social club would like to volunteer, please contact Nancy Harten, Director of Community Programs and Volunteers, at 401-846-4828 x103 or nharten@MLKCCenter.org
