Tomorrow, April 1st, United Way of Rhode Island is hosting 401Gives, a statewide day of giving. Beginning at 6 AM, please visit our 401Gives donation page and consider making a donation to show your support. In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, your support is needed now more than ever: We’ve served food to over ,200 new clients over the span of only 10 business days.
The day will be filled with different opportunities to make your dollars go even further:
- The first $50,000 donated starting at 6 AM on April 1st will be matched by the Rhode Island Foundation, so set your alarm and get your donation in early to DOUBLE THE IMPACT!
- We are also eligible for another prize: Between 10 – 11 AM and 5 – 6 PM tomorrow, the nonprofit with the most unique donors during these time frames will win $1,250.
So, the best times to give? 6 AM, 10 AM, or 5 PM!
Giving ends at 5:59 AM on April 2nd.
You can also set up your own fundraising page to fundraise on behalf of the MLK Center! (Click the orange “Fundraise” button beside our name.) Share your unique fundraising page link with your friends and on your social media — you can even set up a little competition between friends!
Also consider: the New Charitable Contribution Deduction.
Last Friday’s federal coronavirus relief bill grants taxpayers an above-the-line deduction for up to $300 in charitable donations on their 2020 tax returns.
Thank you for helping us strengthen Newport County.
We’re in this together.
