A Special Thanksgiving Message from the MLK Community Center
Thursday, November 24, 2022
As we enter the season of thanks, we’re thinking about all we have to be grateful for at the MLK:
Grateful to clients who trust us to treat them with dignity and respect
Grateful to volunteers who selflessly give their time day-in and day-out, no matter the task, no matter the weather
Grateful to our staff for giving 110%
Grateful to our board for their guidance and advocacy
Grateful to our community for all the ways you support the MLK, especially this Thanksgiving
Because of all of you we were able to help 1863 individuals from 741 families! This is a significant increase from last year when we provided Thanksgiving meal help to 1363 individuals from 616 families. That's a 37% increase in individuals and just over 20% for families. We couldn't do this without YOU!
From all of us at the MLK, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
Now for some Thanksgiving fun at the MLK... Gobble, Gobble
