! Each team needs 4-5 players and the cost is $25 per person. There will be several raffle items and an award given to the team with the FASTEST time and the BEST COSTUMES! Raffle drawing will take place around 6pm, you do not need to be present to win.

Don't want to race but want to enjoy food, fun and drinks? The cost is also $25 per person. No need to register for that, just show up at the event and purchase your bracelet for admission.

All proceeds will benefit the MLK!!

Sending a big THANK YOU to Bridge to Fitness and everyone who showed up for their final event as the gym closes...a fundraiser for the Center!

We are so grateful they chose to support the MLK. On Friday, we received $4470 which will go right back to helping the community.

& Annual Meeting 10/24/22

Keeper of the Dream and Annual Meeting Invite

Join us for our Annual Meeting as we announce changes to our Board of Trustees and present our 2022 Annual Report. We will also celebrate Keeper of the Dream, the highest honors the Center confers upon those whose commitment most embodies the ideals of Dr. King.

Meeting and ceremonies begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments and mingling at 6:15 p.m. There is no cost to attend but registration is required.

MLK Friends Lunch

Ready for another delicious Brazilian meal? Edmilson Andrade is returning and will prepare a flavorful mid-day feast for the
MLK Friends Lunch on Friday, October 14 from 11:30 a.m - 1:00 p.m.
This community meal is open to everyone and free-of-charge. Join us and bring your neighbor! First come, first served. Please use the Edward Street Entrance.

After School at MLK

Engaging, Hands-on Activities Every Day!

Just one month in and students in the MLK After School program have been so busy already with tennis and music lessons, hands-on STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math), art projects and so much more.

In honor of World Teachers' Day on Wednesday, October 5 we would like to give a shout out to our amazing teachers who make all of this possible.

In The Pantry

Toiletries, Pasta &
Gluten-free Foods
are in Demand

The pantry could use a wide variety of supplies this week including toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, etc.

Gluten-free foods are always in short supply and welcomed year round. Currently, we only have spaghetti on the shelves and could also use more varieties of pasta.

Please bring your donations to the temporary pantry, directly across the street from MLK.
