Together, let's build a stronger community

Celebrating 100 years of service in 2022.  The MLK Community Center promotes health, fights hunger, supports families, educates kids and engages seniors.  The MLK Center builds community.

I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits.

Volunteer

The MLK Community Center’s cadre of volunteers support almost every program and service that we provide.  Without volunteers, we simply could not do what we do.  Volunteers served those 11,476 breakfasts, bagged and delivered groceries to our homebound neighbors, filled holiday food baskets, stocked our pantry, helped us maintain our building and yard, and volunteered at numerous special events throughout the year.

My experiences at the MLK Community Center have given me emotional stability. I know, I really know, it will be okay. I've gotten stronger because of the support I've received from the Center.

The MLK Community Center was there when I lost my job and helped me feed my family. I am once again employed and thankful for the MLK.
